US Open Golf Betting

The US Open Golf Championship is the second Major golf tournament to be played in the calendar year.It is followed by the British Open. In 2008 it was played at Torrey Pines and was won by world number 1, Tiger Woods after a play off with compatriot Rocco Mediate. It was Tiger's last tournament before having knee surgery. It was unforgettable to witness Tiger winning despite wincing in agony after playing many of his shots. It was his third US Open victory and he will play at the Bethpage State Park Golf Club and defend his crown in 2009. He will no doubt be the favourite in the golf betting to do so

Britain's Lee Westwood came third despite leading briefly with three holes left to play. Lee would have gained much confidence from his efforts however and will be a candidate to win a Major tournament soon, probably at very good golf odds.
