Open Championship Golf Contenders 2012 - Graeme McDowell
Graeme McDowell had a wonderful 2010 as he picked up his first Major title as well as leading Europe to a fabulous Ryder Cup victory to really earn himself a place in the golfing elite. McDowell produced a brilliant display to win the US Open at Pebble Beach last year and he seems to be ready to add to that collection going forward, his form has perhaps been a little below par in 2011 but he is clearly a class act which is reflected in the betting.
Latest Graeme McDowell British Open Golf 2012 Odds
McDowell will head into the British Open at Sandwich this year full of confidence and eager to put up a good showing in his home Major Championship, he put up a solid defence of the US Open recently and will be eager to move forward with his impressive career. McDowell does not have a great record at the Open with a tie for 11th his best showing so far in eight attempts and he will be looking to improve on that at the very least at Royal St Georges.
We know that should McDowell find himself in contention for the Claret Jug come Sunday afternoon he will be ready mentally, he showed at Pebble Beach and during the Ryder Cup that he loves the heat of battle and it tends to bring out the best of him. this is a fact that is a comfort for punters wanting to back G Mac and many could do worse than a nice each-way bet on the man from Norther Ireland.
